Objective
Asia Forum for Epistemological and Curricular Reform is an umbrella that will coordinate efforts by the Institute in the areas of Islamic reform of epistemology and curricula in Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, The Philippines, and Brunei.
Activities
AFEC will act as a catalyst for locally-initiated and locally-led efforts. Its contacts are universities, colleges, and schools. It achieves its objectives by holding seminars and disseminating literature (DVDs and websites). It will identify and train resource persons who will travel throughout the region conducting seminars on epistemology and curriculum reform. Information about its activities will be disseminated periodically through its newsletter.

Budget
The forum works informally without a centralized office. Allowances are paid to Directors and Coordinators to work from their homes. They may be provided with computers. The main expenses are tickets and honoraria for resource persons who conduct the workshops. An annual budget will be submitted for approval.
